Texas Chainsaw Massacre II[]

In 1986, Vanita Brock is working as a radio DJ in Texas. She is alarmed when she receives a call from two men who are killed by Leatherface.

Vanita meets officer Lefty Enright, uncle of original survivor Sally Hardesty and convinces her to replay the tape of the two young men who were murdered on her radio show. Despite initially disagreeing, she complies, and finds more trouble than she bargained for.

Preparing to leave the radio station for the night, Vanita meets Leatherface and Chop Top, his Vietnam-veteran brother with a metal plate in his head. They attack her, but she manages to charm Leatherface into sparing her life. She is left alive by Leatherface, but her wounded coworker isn't as lucky. Vanita follows them, finding that they had set up shop underneath a carnival.

Vanita finds her dead coworker, and despite Leatherface's best efforts, she is captured. Lefty, who has infiltrated their lair with chainsaws, finds her being tortured by the Sawyer family and saves her. Vanita manages to escape the lair, though Chop Top follows her with the intention of killing her. Despite being slashed up with a straight razor, Vanita succeeds in killing Chop Top.

Texas Chainsaw Massacre III[]

Vanita is now a news reporter, discussing Leatherface and tracking down the family members across Texas.

Trivia[]

  • In the original screenplay, Vanita Brock was supposed to be Lefty's illegitimate daughter.
  • For her audition, Caroline Williams ran down the hallway, pulling Tobe Hooper and Kit Carson out of their chairs and using them to barricade the door. Then she began her scene.
  • In the DVD audio commentary for Leatherface - The Texas Chainsaw Massacre III", director Jeff Burr said he got Williams to appear in the movie as a cameo, to suggest to the audience that she had now picked up where Lefty had left off, tracking down the family members across Texas.
